Religious
A traditional wedding ceremony that celebrates your particular
religious background complete with prayers, scripture readings, formal
vows. We can assist in obtaining the religious ceremony you are
comfortable with.
Spiritual
A spiritual ceremony is one that acknowledges and mentions God but no particular faith group or denomination. We will elisabery@yahoo.com to you a draft copy and work with it through to acceptance and completion to get the ceremony that suits you. This is the most popular ceremony for those who wish to keep a sense of what is internally sacred to them without formal dogma.
Contemporary
This is a less structured ceremony that may reflect something personal in your life or readings that may be very personal to you. It is less formal that the spiritual and religious ceremonies but can still be light and romantic.
Short and Sweet Ceremony
A short and sweet ceremony with one reading, vows and
signing of documents.
We offer the short and sweet ceremony especially at our residence or
alongside the nearby river or gazebo. It is touching, personal and
meaningful.
Renewal of Vows
Renewal of Vows Ceremonies are becoming only second in popularity to Wedding Ceremonies. Vows renewals often take place at the 5,10,15,20, 25 year anniversary but can occur at any time. There is no license to obtain for a vow renewal ceremony. It is dignified, joyful and romantic. Often couples include their children in the ceremony itself. Sometimes a husband will arrange a weekend escape to a Bed and Breakfast or waterfront cottage here in Marmora and the ceremony comes as a special surprise gift of love to his wife. Wedding Ceremony
Procedure Sequence:
Minister travels to an agreed upon location if wedding is not at the
Minister's locale.
Discussion regarding final procedures of wedding package chosen with
bride and/or groom or assigned representatives
Marriage License is given to minister
Witnesses are available. If you have no witnesses then ask if the
minister can supply them.
Minister takes her place as wedding celebrant to conduct the wedding
ceremony
Conducts the ceremony
Signing of Documents by minister
Minister obtains all signatures from witnesses and bride and groom
Minister keeps a copy of marriage license for official records
Minister gives marriage certificate (not license) to bride and groom
upon completion of the wedding ceremony
Minister sends formal documents to Registar for government registration
of your marriage
A formal copy from the government takes a few weeks to return.
Consider making a copy of your marriage license and marriage certificate. You may need to change your name for bank accounts, driver's license, credit cards, health insurance and passports.
Clothing: Wedding Minister will wear robes or attire suitable to what the bride and groom are wearing.
