Walk to the Altar S L O W L Y but no double stepping. Leave the length of the aisle as your guide.
When one bridesmaid gets to the altar, the other begins. For the ring bearer and flower girl leave only half
of the aisle space. Let their be a pause before the Bride and Father (or other) begin. This way the bride
makes a grand entrance and it gives time for the guests to rise for her arrival if not already standing.
During the processional the reverse occurs leading with the Bride and Groom, then Best Man and Maid of Honor.
The Bridal Party and Parents/Grand Parents for a greeting line for well wishes.
Today there are no hard and fast rules that cannot be broken. Some talented couples dance to the altar,
Some brides pick up flowers which become her bouquet on the way to the altar (given by guests along the aisle.
Some groom's sing to their bride as she arrives.
Some couples stand in the water (if at a lake or ocean) to get married.
It's okay to make your wedding personal and meaningful using your talents.
